Rovio Entertainment and Resolution Games give Angry Birds the Magic Leap treatment.
Downloaded billions of times over, the Angry Birds franchise has become one of the most popular gaming experiences since its launch in 2009. And at L.E.A.P. conference, everybody’s favorite feathered friends are flying into the future with the release of Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot, exclusively on Magic Leap One Creator Edition.
Developed by Resolution Games and published by Rovio Entertainment, Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot brings the gaming phenomenon into a mixed reality format with incredibly realistic animated characters and objects. With Magic Leap, the iconic flying fowl (and their antagonizing swine adversaries) don’t just fly within the boundaries of a screen but soar through the user’s own environment. With a simple pull of a virtual slingshot, Angry Birds FPS: First Person Slingshot shows how spatial computing can turn a long-time favorite into the next realm of digital gaming.
The game's due to launch in October but if you want a sneak peek, you can see the trailer here.
